Hi, I’m Lauren
the heart behind Salt, Sage, & Soul
After nearly two decades of designing blogs for others, I realized it was finally time to create one for myself. Salt, Sage & Soul was born out of a deep need to have a space of my own again—a quiet corner where I could write, reflect, and share freely without the pressure of likes, trends, or algorithms. It’s been over 15 years since I’ve had my own blog, and for just as long, my mind has been filled with stories, thoughts, and ideas swirling around with nowhere to land. I’m not big on social media, so this space is my way of returning to slow, intentional sharing—the kind that feels real, lasting, and a little bit sacred.
Here, you’ll find a little bit of everything: recipes I’ve crafted for picky eaters (because I know the struggle), home DIY projects that keep my hands busy and my heart full, and favorite finds that make life a little easier or more beautiful. I’ll also be sharing more personal reflections on marriage, motherhood, and the complicated layers of divorce, healing, and the everyday dance of building a blended family.
This is a space for the messy, meaningful middle—for the meals, moments, and messes that shape us.

Why Salt, Sage & Soul
The name Salt, Sage & Soul felt like the perfect reflection of what I wanted this space to be. Salt is for the flavor—the recipes, the grit, and the everyday details that make life rich and real. Sage represents wisdom, healing, and the lessons I’ve learned (and am still learning) through motherhood, mental health, and all of life’s messy middle chapters. And Soul is the heart behind it all—the stories that run deep, the honesty I want to share, and the connection I hope to create with you. It’s a name that holds the tension of the hard and the beautiful, the simple and the sacred—and that’s exactly what this blog is all about.
